30 Hour Famine Lock-In

Experience for students participating in 30-hour famine.

Schedule:  Friday, February 22, 6:00pm - Saturday, February 23, 7:00pm

Check-in:  Friday 6:00pm

Activities are planned throughout the event that highlight the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with an in-depth look at the challenges hungry kids face.  By the end of the experience, we hope our students grow in their hunger for God and His kingdom as they learn what the Bible has to say about injustice.

Lights Out/Sleeping:  Students will be split by gender and have separate sleeping arrangements.  Two adult male and two adult female leaders will be with students at all times (that have been background checked).  If you prefer your student to sleep at home, you may pick them up after closing activities Friday (at 11:15pm), and return them Saturday (at 8:00am).  Please make those arrangements with us ahead of time.

Saturday: We will be working on an in-house mission project and participate in additional fun activities that continue to teach out students about famine. We will have our final reflection and break our fast together as a group at 6:30pm.  The event concludes at 7:00pm.

Some of our students have other activities and may need to leave early.  Please let us know if your students will be leaving early.
